  2. Square is absolutely doing their best to ensure you have no spare time with their onslaught of re-releasing, remastering, and re-everythinging their games, and I am loving every second of it. Their awesome looking remake of Trials of Mana is coming next April and looking at the new TGS trailer, it is looking fantastic. Blurb: Square Enix Ltd., have unveiled that the highly anticipated remake of Trials of Mana will launch worldwide on 24th April 2020 for the Nintendo Switch system, PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and STEAM. The latest trailer introduces viewers to the game’s cast of characters and beautiful accompanying orchestral score. Players will get a closer look at the upgraded character models, switching classes, and new combat system as it plays out in an epic battle against fearsome foes, as well as hear the English voice over for the first time. Originally released in Japan as Seiken Densetsu 3 in 1995, and later making its debut in the West with the Collection of Mana on Nintendo Switch earlier this year, Trials of Mana is a full, high-definition remake of the third entry in the classic Mana series. Trials of Mana seamlessly brings the beloved story and characters to a new, modern era of players with real-time combat, beautiful 3D graphics and updated gameplay. The game tells the story of six heroes as they battle against the forces of evil that threaten a world where Mana has been weakened. Players will craft their own experiences by selecting a party of three from these unique characters as they embark on the adventure of a lifetime. Those who preorder the physical version of the game for the Nintendo Switch system or PlayStation 4 system will receive a Rabite Adornment DLC, allowing players to gain more EXP after battles up to level 10. Trials of Mana will be available physically and digitally for the Nintendo Switch™ and PlayStation®4 systems, and digitally available on STEAM® from 24th April 2020.

  4. Now class I would like you all to take your blenders and mix Doom along with Wolfenstein to form the base for our other ingredients. Next you will need to add a healthy cup of The Binding Isaac, measures don’t need to be exact as this is to give the previous additions some form but make sure you mix thoroughly before pouring into a glass.. Lastly you will need to take some Altered Beast and you are going to want to be delicate here as we only want to carve out the exciting transformations so the rest of it you can disregard, now we need to freeze the parts of Altered Beast we want until they are nice and solid, luckily we have some here that I prepared earlier. Nice dose of nostalgia there really brings out the pulpiness of our mix and what we are going to do is grate the frozen Altered Beast over the top giving us Hellmut: The Badass From Hell to truly enjoy at our leisure. Those mix of games are the best way I can describe Hellmut: The Badass From Hell. A top down twin stick shooter that allows you to transform into a varying mix of hellbeasts to run through a set amount of procedurally generated levels fighting demonic bosses and collecting loot, power ups and all kinds of differing transformations. Once you make it to the end you do it all over again there is nothing too new to the formula in that regard but Hellmut isn’t trying to set a new standard instead it is all about doing the formula solidly while giving a distinctive flavour that is all its own. There is nothing overly flashy with the graphics but they work, most of the scenery is full of objects and colours you would expect to find in castle over run with demon hordes; a lot of browns and blacks. Hellmut though casts this aside and it has very little focus as yeah the castle itself is a little bland but everything happening inside of it is as colourful as vomiting a rainbow. Bright neon colours forgo accenting the levels and arenas instead they take on a life of their own filling the screen with greens, blues, pinks, reds, purples and oranges granting life to every area you pass through. The controls are smooth and basic, one stick moves you another stick aims while a shoulder button fires, the other firing a weapons special attack, one more to use any medical supplies you may have and the final button allows you to choose a transformation. It’s simple and it works especially when you are in the midst of a bullet hell like arena with enemy projectiles flying at you from every direction. 98% of my mistakes and deaths were purely player error the controls were never factor into it with that 2% being the odd occasion of too much going on at one time that it becomes difficult to keep track of everything or just dumb bad luck. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time when enemies spawn but it just be like that sometimes. What about those transformations I keep mentioning? Ultimately this games key attraction is the ability to transform into varying creatures through out the game all with their own look, feel, abilities and weapons. You are given two to begin with (though you can only choose one to begin with, a Rat King that can fire a canon filled with rats which have been coated in a rubber gel like substance allowing them to bounce off walls and a hulking stitched together monstrosity wielding a huge hammer that flies about Thor/Kratos style. In most levels you can encounter a diety who will grant you new transformations provided that you can A) afford it and B) prove yourself worthy to obtain. These transformations appear randomly you may get the one you didn’t choose to start with or maybe you’ll end up as a Demon King who shoots multiple homing energy projectiles at a time or an Orc Fairy who can teleport away out of danger. Finding them all is half the fun. If you read the title; Hellmut: Badass From Hell and thought to yourself “Oh my god yes!” then this game is right up your alley. It’s fun, it contains some bullet hell madness and does it all while wearing its pulpy aesthetics unabashedly on its wrists. If these kind of roguelike games are for you this is a must add to the collection and if you have never played one there is a good chance it will win you over. However if you aren’t into run and gun games that are all about dying to retry then Hellmut has nothing new to offer you other than a solid experience in the genre. Zombie was provided with a promo copy of Hellmut: Badass From Hell.

Attack types and passive bonuses change with each formation. Players will also recognize several important gauges to keep an eye out for: Goddess Gauge, AP Gauge, Break Attack Gauge, and the Enemy's AP Gauge. Skills: Skills are attacks that characters can use with each formation. Players will use them by either equipping items endowed with Skills or by learning said Skills. By winning a battle, the items you have equipped will gain experience, and by fulfilling the conditions, you will be able to learn the Skills held by that item. After learning the Skill, players can unequip the item and still keep the skill learned from the item. Prepare for battle by setting your skills before hand. Remember, each formation has a different skill that a party member can cast, so you can equip up to 4 different skills for each character (16 in total). Note that certain skills can only be used in a specific formation (i.e. Strike Formation). Abilities: Abilities are skills that provide huge advantages. They are held by equipment (weapons, armor, accessories). Set your Abilities by using Ability Points. The higher the character's level is, the more Ability Points you will receive. When you win a battle, the items you have equipped will gain experience, and if the conditions are fulfilled, you can learn the Abilities they hold. You can then set the Ability without having to equip the item.
  6. No Man's Sky is coming to PSVR and SteamVR thanks to a free update. Since the game finally met the huge expectations it set for itself pre-launch, this is their first major release to take the game further than expected. Blurb: As creators of No Man’s Sky, we are in love with everything sci-fi. Virtual reality feels like a science fiction become real, and has always seemed like a perfect fit for this futuristic game of ours. It’s completely unique to land on a world that no-one has ever seen before and to really feel as if you’re there. The team has worked so hard to make this a true VR experience rather than a port. Grab the joystick and thruster to fly your starship over an unexplored alien planet as you peer out of the cockpit at the view below. Reach into your backpack to grab your multitool, touch it to switch to terrain manipulation, and carve out intricate shapes with unprecedented control. Play in multiplayer and casually wave to your friends non-VR friends or fist bump your PS VR peers. No Man’s Sky VR is not a separate mode, but the entire game brought to life in virtual reality. Anything possible in No Man’s Sky, NEXT or any other update is ready and waiting as an immersive and enriched VR experience. No Man’s Sky VR, like all the parts of Beyond, will be free to existing players. However, we’re excited to announce that the release of Beyond will see an exclusive retail release of the game on PS4. This physical edition will come with the base game, VR support, and every update so far, including Beyond. By bringing full VR support, for free, to the millions of players already playing the game, No Man’s Sky will become perhaps the most-owned VR title when released. This amazes us, and is utterly humbling. The team is working so hard to live up to the expectations that creates. We are excited for that moment when millions of players will suddenly update and be able to set foot on their home planets and explore the intricate bases they have built in virtual reality for the first time. As well as Online and VR, No Man’s Sky Beyond contains a third major feature set that we’ll be talking more about when we can.

  8. The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game has a Release Date of the 28th of August in Early Access on Steam. If the name of the game is throwing you off, it appears to be a card game that tells a narrative, which certainly sounds intriguing. You can see a blurb from the developer below and check it out on the steam store page here. The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game tasks players with leading a fellowship of three heroes through a series of narrative campaigns across Middle-earth as they face off against the dark forces of Sauron. Players will forge their own fellowships and build decks comprised of ally, event, and equipment cards to face challenges that test their spirit, lore, tactics, and leadership. An adaptation of Fantasy Flight Games’ tabletop card game, which pioneered the narrative experience. The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game is inspired by the best-selling The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game, a Living Card Game® from Fantasy Flight Games. This digital adaptation is inspired by the original tabletop game, taking the best aspects of that experience and adapting them for the digital medium while adding all new features in a player-vs-AI experience built from the ground-up, featuring: An intuitive user interface Unique and fully detailed environments depicting the world of Middle-earth Fully-narrated story interludes Branching narrative paths based on player choices Visual and audio effects tied to every hero, card, and action A dynamic AI that adapts to player’s triumphs—and mistakes The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game delivers an immersive narrative-driven experience that will connect players with Tolkien's fiction like never before. Beyond Early Access, The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game will be expanded to support co-op play, allowing two players to bring their fellowships together and fight through quests side-by-side! Deck Building Each hero is assigned a Sphere of Influence, indicated by the color of the card. Purple for Leadership, Green for Lore Blue for Spirit Red for Tactics Grey for Neutral Each sphere supports its own unique strategy and playstyle, giving each deck in The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game strategic depth that will keep players invested well beyond their first Quest through Middle-earth. With fellowships of three heroes, players can either diversify the Spheres within their decks for the widest possible array of cards or select two or three heroes from the same Sphere in order to access more powerful cards within each Sphere. The Shop Relying on a fixed distribution of cards to remove randomness, The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game uses a structured format for Hero packs so players know the stats and details of every card in a pack before a purchase is made. Each pack contains a Hero, a set of four cards that corresponds with that Hero’s theme, and a free Palantír View. As players progress through the game, they will earn Valor points, which can be used to unlock individual cards or be spent on the Palantír, a device which guarantees them a new card, cosmetic rewards, or additional valor. “We created a game inspired by the classic original tabletop card game and wanted to capture the unique spirit of that game while still being approachable to new players,” said Tim Gerritsen, Head of Fantasy Flight Interactive. “In going digital, we captured much of the excitement and tension of the original game while automating the bookkeeping. This allowed us to explore new avenues that are unique to the digital experience and create a whole new game set in the fantastic world of Middle-earth.”
