Red Dead Redemption Wild Wild West -5/10- It's not as bad as people make it out to be, but it is incredibly forgettable. Well other than the whole "Chickachicka Wild Wild West, Jim West, Desperado." part.

Leprechaun Returns -7/10- A direct sequel to the original following the Jennifer Anistons characters daughter. The tongue and cheek elements are still there, lots of nods to the original and its just hella fun.

I would've been 13 when that movie released and I remember enjoying it at the time. 😂

Night School -6/10- It was ok, typical Kevin Hart fare with a few moments that were funny.

Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween -6/10- While the first was a fun adventure movie this was just kinda there. It is clear they just wanted to get something out and with Jack Black unable to commit cause of another movie and the kid being tied to Netflix's 10 Reasons and the writer director doing Detective Pikachu everything is just kinda cobbled together. It tries to recreate moments that worked in the first one though they just dont have the same care of craft. It wasn't terrible but it is a typical by the numbers t(w)een Halloween movie.

Hell Fest - 7/10 A pretty fun horror movie about a group of kids that get stalked by some random guy in a mask throughout a horror amusement park. The movie poster makes it look like some gore porn Saw/Hostel type movie which it ain't. Critics have been hating on it but I thought it was a lot better than what the ratings are for this film.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Lives up to the hype. Great humour, awesome story with a lot of heart. Loved the performances from the voice actors. Fantastic.

9.5/10

Dragonball Super- Broly. 8/10 Wow this film made Broly go from a character I really didn't care about to actually feeling sorry for him as he actually got given a decent backstory compared to the original one of "hating Goku because he cried a lot as a child and that upset him." Overall the film is pretty good with the first part clearing up some of the saiyans history, then the second part explains what is happening the present and the final part is a good ol dragon ball fight. It even had some parts that made me laugh and that would have been something I expected to see in DBZ abridged rather then a actual DB production. Still my only real gripe is that the CGI parts of the fight scenes still don't look quite right though are better then the other films ones. But yeah if your a DB fan this is worth watching.

Have been rewatching DBZ Kai recently so this movie came out at a pretty good time for me. Sounds like it's a pretty good too. 👍🏼

Crumudgeons -8/10- Short film by Danny Devito about love in a retirement setting. Was really damn beautiful.

Messages Deleted -7/10- Has a premise I love in which Matthew Lillard stars as a screen writer who comes home to find a message on his phone from someone he doesn't know saying if he doesn't get to a certain place within the time limit that person will die. I mean you can pretty much tell exactly what is going to happen about 5 minutes in but then has a twist right at the end that shakes it all up. Was great but I do have a weakness for Matthew Lillard.

Little Shop of Horrors -6/10- I dont see what the big deal is, I enjoyed Steve Martin and the plant but the rest of it was pretty dull.

Bohemian Rhapsody -6/10- Wow I am amazed at just how much they made Mercury out to be an arrogant dick. Wasn't a fan of the way it glossed over everything and handled the Aids thing poorly. This should have been a character study focusing on Mercury and his enigmatic personality as there was a lot there to work with not just breeze over. Also think they ended it at the wrong time, to me the perfect ending is during the recording for The Show Must go On. You have the frail looking Mercury, May says to him "I dont think you can do this Fred." So the last lines of the movie are Freddy downing the glass of vodka and saying "I'll fucking do it darling." then you show him recording it in one take during which you splice in the RiP title cards/real footage/etc into credits.

Slaughterhouse Rulez -6.5/10- It's that horror comedy with Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Martin Sheen with monsters in a boarding school. The comedy aspect was good and generally didn't miss. The creature feature aspect however is built up for so long that when it finally happens (nothing horror happens until the last 40 minutes of its just under 2 hour run time) it's a bit of a let down, I mean its fun but just kinda underwhelming. Monster designs are pretty average too.

The monsters look like large black moles.

Watched Alita : Battle Angel on Tuesday night, Loved it! Didnt go in expecting much, heard reviews were mixed. But the CGI was spectacular, as well as the scifi world (want to see even more outside of the city). Setup for a sequel, really hope it does well enough to get one.

Into the Spider-Verse -8/10- Amazing. Loved pretty much everything about it. Still not completely sold on the janky animation that is missing frames but 30 minutes into it or so and I really didn't notice it as I was having a great time. Cage was fantastic as was that stinger.

I watched Escape Room the other day. It was okay. Pretty dumb actually, and the ending is totally set up for a sequel.

Nice I think I'll give this one a go. I have always liked Lillard (especially Scream and Without a Paddle).

I watched a review of this and they guys said that making PG totally ruined it.

Overlord - 7.5/10 Pretty awesome horror movie set during WW2.

Aquaman.

Enjoyable enough but had a few cringey moments. Momoa is great though.

6.5/10

Captain Marvel

Decent entry in the MCU without being mindblowing.

Spoiler

The twist about halfway through was unexpected and was a nice change up.

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part -7/10- Was so much better than I was expecting. Rex Dangervest was awesome!

Aquaman -7/10- I liked it. Cast was mostly fantastic with Heard being the only real downer in it. Mamoa was brilliant like always. The one thing I wasn't sold on was the campiness that popped up every now and then, it just felt conflicting tonally.

A Star is Born -7/10- Not as great as its being made out to be. Don't get me wrong it is good and better than Bohemian Rhapsody but it moves at a snails pace cutting 30 minutes would have helped with that immensely. Also the ending was just kinda stupid, I get why its there but there were a million better ways to achieve it all with the same results. Cast was amazing though and the music was pretty damned good.

You Might Be The Killer -8/10- Movie is about a guy running through the woods with a masked killer chasing him, he runs into cabin and calls his best friend (who is a horror nut) for advise. When he can't seem to recall things and hears voices she makes the almighty statement of "You might be the killer." From there it goes through the tropes of horror in a fun and comedix way. While everyone seemed to hate the directors other movies I have liked them, while they weren't overly special they were fun an well made much like his movie Animal.

Hellboy (2019) -6/10- Action scenes are great. Gore is great. Comedy is hit or miss mostly miss. The actual Blood Queen movie plot is only 40 minutes long with 80 minutes of differing and flashback scenes. It looks a lot like Del Toros movies without his colours and style.
