Monster Hunter: World Is coming to team on August 9th!

The most accessible, and most successful Monster hunter game, Monster Hunter: World has convinced a lot of player to get over the learning curve to play this wonderful series.  And now PC players can join our ranks.

See the blurb and system specs below the trailer.

The wait for the critically-acclaimed Monster Hunter: World on PC is almost over! Originally planned for Fall 2018, Capcom has now confirmed it will be arriving on August 9th, 2018. The title that released for consoles earlier this year has since gone on to become Capcom’s best-selling game in company history with over 8 million units shipped globally. In this entry, players take on larger than life monsters in a variety of vast, living, breathing ecosystems either solo or with up to three other hunters via online co-op, complete with drop-in functionality, a first for the series. A new trailer has been released today to mark the upcoming PC release which can be downloaded here.

In Monster Hunter: World, follow the journey of the elder dragons as they begin their once a decade migration across the sea to a land known as the New World in an event referred to by inhabitants as the Elder Crossing. As part of the Guild’s Research Commission, players must embark on a grand journey to this massive, mysterious land and uncover the secrets behind this phenomenon. As hunters set out on their quests, the Commission’s sights are set on Zorah Magdaros, a colossal elder dragon that rises from the earth like a volcano.

Future updates will add new content and gameplay features. Updates and fixes made in other platform versions will be gradually applied to the PC version. The Event Quest schedule will differ from other platforms so fans should stay tuned to official Capcom channels for more details on additional content release dates.

Looks sweet, but not sure if its for me. I tried the beta on PS4 and it was ok, the weapons seem alittle over the top, but damn those monsters are begging to be hunted!

In two minds if to get this on PC , or on PS4 as it'll go on sale sooner and lower than PC more than likely.

Hopefully fps isn't locked to 60 like the trailer shows. Need to wait to hear more.

Definitely on my get list though.

Found this on PC Gamer (I would guess it would be locked at 60fps for now atleast)

Monster Hunter: World is finally coming to PC next month, but will the game take advantage of meaty PC hardware to make some visual upgrades? We put the question to producer Ryozo Tsujimoto in a written Q&A.

"When the game launches the visuals will have parity with the console versions," he says, "but we’re considering releasing a free update after launch."

Monster Hunter's a good looking game on console, but even if we won't see any visual upgrades it will hopefully run at a faster clip on PC. On the PS4 you can only get close to 60 frames per second by climbing up to really high platforms where the game only has to render a little bit of terrain.

A "free update after launch" sounds promising, though I'm not sure what I'd want to see, precisely. High-res Rathian textures? Volumetric lighting on Pukei-Pukei's barf attacks? I'd rather take steady performance from a good port. Get a sense for how well the game will run on your PC with the Monster Hunter: World system requirements and pin the Monster Hunter: World PC release date in your diary.

After looking into or another more I will probably grab this as a birthday pressie to myself on pc. Looks like a lot of depth and strategy to learn about it and lots to explore.
